Widely known for its 250-like maneuverability and 450-like power, the KTM 350 EXC-F has become an incredible motorcycle. The KTM 350 EXC-F is equipped with a highly durable, KTM-developed DDS (Steel Diaphragm Damper) clutch, with a wear-resistant steel basket and heat-resistant clutch discs. It uses a diaphragm spring instead of conventional coil springs, which makes the clutch work much more accessible. In addition, the Brembo hydraulic system provides easy and precise clutch modulation throughout the operating temperature range.
The standard electric starter on the KTM 350 EXC-F uses Mitsuba’s proven starter and strong starter motor. As demonstrated repeatedly, it delivers a fast and reliable startup, saving you energy and valuable time when you need it most.
First, the triangular distributor integrated into the frame triangle has a large center pipe for highly efficient coolant flow, and radiator fans are standard on all four-stroke models. A pair of radiators mounted close to the center of gravity ensures engine cooling in harsh conditions. They use CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) technology and intelligent routing of the coolant circuit, achieving the optimum temperature of the engine for the highest performance in all conditions.
Packed with power and delivering flawless engine performance, all KTM EXC four-stroke models feature an easily accessible two-piece header that can be easily disassembled to provide access to the rear shock. The aluminum muffler sleeve has a short and compact profile.
All KTM EXC models are equipped with high-tech, lightweight Chromoly steel frames with racing-like geometry, optimal stiffness, and unsurpassed rider feedback. This translates into a playful handling character with excellent stability at speed – not to mention the FACTORY RACING style thanks to the bright orange finish. The subframe is made of ultra-light and ultra-stable aluminum profiles weighing less than 900 grams, which ensures stability and strength of the rear wing in the event of an ejection.

CloseThe KTM 350 EXC-F engine has a compact DOHC cylinder head for optimal mass centralization, contributing to better handling. The DLC-coated finger pushers, along with the lightweight valves they actuate (36.3mm intake, 29.1mm exhaust), allow for more engine revving, which is a crucial factor in the 350’s dynamic performance. A head configuration with two overhead camshafts that control gas flow through the ports promises excellent dual-sport engine performance.
The crankshaft of the KTM 350 EXC-F is ideally positioned close to the center of gravity, which contributes to easier handling. It uses a short connecting rod, which makes for an overall compact and lightweight engine with quick power delivery. A conventional large (lower) end bearing with two reinforced bearing tabs runs directly on the connecting rod. The engine’s pressurized lubrication system offers the necessary oil supply for this bearing.
The lightweight design of the engine housing allows for a highly centralized shaft configuration while promoting effective mass centralization. In addition, the engine covers have an intelligent surface structure that reduces the wear caused by the rider’s boots, keeping them looking as fresh as the day they left the production line. In contrast, an engine guard and a reinforced clutch cover make the engine housing more durable.
The KTM 350 EXC-F has a reliable six-speed gearbox manufactured by PANKL Racing Systems. Gears are durable, forged raw materials, providing the highest strength and reliability. All four-stroke engines are equipped with a gear sensor that allows different engine characteristics to be selected for each gear.
Keihin’s state-of-the-art engine management system with electronic fuel injection features a 42mm throttle body with separate cold start and idle control systems. The throttle cable mount also provides easy access and smooth cable routing for crisp throttle response every time.
Inside the short 88mm bore cylinder is an extremely light forged box-type jumper piston made by CP. Despite its incredibly lightweight design, it has an ultra-rigid construction for increased durability. Thanks to the lightweight design, the oscillating masses are small, which gives the engine extremely positive characteristics. The 13.5:1 compression ratio provides exceptional engine performance and reduces the risk of engine detonation.
